The member portal for IBG stores: updates, documents, training and member benefits.
Help signing in
Getting started
IBG One is the member portal for Independent Business Group. It is one place to find your IBG systems, read every email IBG sends to stores, and download documents.
Signing in for the first time
Store owners receive an email from IBG One with the subject "Set up your IBG One account".
- Open the email and select Set your password. The link lasts 7 days.
- Choose a password of at least 10 characters and select Create my account.
- Sign in with your email address and new password.
IBG assigns a new owner or manager a short set of courses at that point, starting with Welcome to IBG for owners: what IBG does for your store, what your membership includes, the systems you will use, and how to get set up in your first month. It's under Training, and it takes about 15 minutes.
Store staff get a username and a temporary password from their store owner or manager.
- Go to the IBG One sign-in page.
- Enter your username (for example
jsmith.cw014) in Username or email, and your temporary password. Select Show beside the password box to check what you have typed. - You will be asked to choose your own password straight away. Enter the temporary password as your current password, then your new password twice, and select Save password.
Finding your way around
Use the menu on the left to move around IBG One; on a phone, tap Menu at the top.
- Hub: your dashboard, a featured member benefit, your latest updates, your training progress, new documents and, for store owners and managers, your team, all in one place.
- Updates: every email IBG sends to member stores, newest first.
- Training: courses assigned to you and anything else you can explore, with a quiz at the end of some.
- Documents: marketing material, forms and guides.
- Services and Benefits: what IBG offers and what your membership includes. Select Enquire on a service and an email opens with the subject already filled in. On a benefit, phone numbers and email addresses in the contact details are links: tap one on a phone to call or write. Some benefits, like PayNuts EFTPOS, include a calculator so you can estimate your own savings.
- Brands: the retail brands and software available to members. Anything not ready yet is listed under Coming soon at the bottom.
- Systems: links to B2B Ordering, PriceIQ and other IBG systems. These open in a new tab.
- My staff: store owners and managers only. Add and manage your team's sign-ins.
- My store: store owners and managers only. Photos of your store and your team's contact details.
- Help: these guides. Each one ends with Previous and Next links so you can read straight through them, and the list finishes with Contact IBG when there is nothing here that answers your question.
Select your name at the bottom of the menu to open My account.
Searching the whole portal
Search sits at the top of the menu, above Hub. Type a word or two and press Enter.
- The results are grouped by where they live: Updates, Documents, Courses, Benefits, Tools and Help, with the number found beside each heading.
- Each group shows the first five. When there are more, select See all 12 in Documents (or whichever group it is) to open that section with the same search already applied.
- Select a result to go straight to it. A document opens the Documents library with that one file showing, so you can see what kind of file it is and which course uses it before you download it.
On a computer, press the / key anywhere in IBG One to jump straight to the search box, as long as you are not already typing in a box. On a phone, tap Menu first.
You only ever see what your role can see, so searching will not turn up a file or a course IBG has kept to store owners and managers. Type at least two characters: one letter matches too much to be useful.
Your dashboard
The Hub is your dashboard, the first thing you see after signing in.
- Featured member benefit: a highlighted offer. Select it for the full details and how to claim it.
- Latest updates: the six newest emails IBG has sent to member stores. A small dot beside an update means you have not opened it yet.
- Your training: how far through your assigned courses you are, with a button that takes you straight into the next one, Start if you have not opened it yet or Continue if you have.
- Your team: store owners and managers only. How many people each of your stores has, and how many haven't signed in yet.
- Member benefits: a few of the benefits included in your membership, and a link to see them all.
- New documents: the most recently updated files you can see. It is hidden when there are none.
Telling IBG what is useful
At the bottom of every course page, on every document card and under every tool you will see Was this useful? with a Yes and a No.
- Select Yes or No. Your answer is recorded straight away, and the buttons show which one you chose.
- A box then asks Anything to add? Type a sentence if you want to, up to 500 characters, and select Send. It is optional. On a document card, select Add a comment to open the box.
- Change your mind at any time by selecting the other button. There is one answer per person per page, file or tool, so the new one replaces the old one.
Only IBG sees the answers, and they are read to decide what to fix, rewrite or drop. Nobody in your store, including your owner or manager, sees what you said.
Using IBG One on your phone
IBG One works in your phone's browser. Tap Menu at the top of the screen to open the same menu you'd use on a larger screen, then tap a link to go there.
To add IBG One to your home screen: on iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then Add to Home screen.
IBG One does not sign you in to other IBG systems. The Hub takes you to each system's own sign-in page.
Trouble signing in
"Those details don't match"
Check that you are using the right sign-in name. Store owners sign in with their email address. Staff sign in with the username their owner gave them, for example jsmith.cw014. Usernames have no spaces. A store manager signs in exactly as they did before: being made a manager never changes your username, email or password.
I forgot my password
If your account has an email address: select Forgot your password? on the sign-in page, enter your username or email, and select Send reset link. The email arrives within a few minutes and the link lasts 1 hour. Check your junk folder.
If you are staff without an email on your account: ask your store owner. They can give you a new temporary password from My staff.
If you are a store owner and the reset email doesn't arrive: contact IBG.
My account is locked
After 10 wrong passwords in a row the account locks for 15 minutes. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or have your password reset (see above). A reset unlocks the account straight away.
My invite link has expired
Invite links last 7 days and work once. Ask IBG to send a new one.
It says my account doesn't exist, but I used to sign in
Your access may have been removed. Staff should speak to their store owner. Owners should contact IBG.
